The Background and Beginning of Idara Ahsanul Madaris Trust

A journey established to serve the religious, educational and character-building needs of Muslim children and the wider community.

The religious condition of Muslim society in these days is well known to everyone; however, the condition of the rural Muslims is even more deplorable. Poverty, ignorance and the shared cultural environment of rural areas have distanced many people from Islamic consciousness and awareness.

Background of the Establishment

The religious condition of Muslim society in these days is well known to everyone; however, the condition of the rural Muslims is even more deplorable. This is because poverty, ignorance, and the shared cultural environment of the rural areas have distanced them by miles from Islamic consciousness and awareness. Apart from merely calling themselves Muslims, many of them have little knowledge of their religion. The false cultures and Qadiani missionaries have taken considerable advantage of their ignorance, difficult circumstances, and simplicity, as a result of which the mischief of apostasy is gradually spreading from village to village.

It is also a fact that the responsibility for safeguarding the faith and religion of Muslims rests upon the Muslims themselves. After the mission of our Prophet ﷺ, no messenger will come for this purpose until the Day of Judgment. Therefore, Islamic scholars in every era have continued, and continue, to strive to fulfil these responsibilities. Islamic religious seminaries are among the most important links in the chain of safeguarding Islam and the Muslims. The services rendered by these seminaries over the past 100 years are not unknown to conscious and aware Muslims.

The Beginning of the Institution

Among those sincere servants of Allah whose hearts remain restless and whose minds remain deeply concerned for the guidance and protection of the Muslim Ummah is also the respected personality of the late Mr. Mustafa Sharif Sahib. Keeping in mind the aspirations of his forefathers, he intended to establish a centre in his ancestral homeland for the religious and modern education and training of Muslim children.

For this purpose, he obtained one and a half acres of land in First Plot, Fatehnagar, under the Navipet Mandal of Nizamabad District, from the local Ex-Servicemen Committee, and began the construction of a madrasa on it. After having the necessary construction completed with the support and cooperation of his friends and associates, he consulted the scholars of the area regarding the commencement of the madrasa.

Following the advice of several respected Islamic scholars, the building was entrusted, for the purpose of carrying out religious activities, to the renowned religious and scholarly personality of the state, Hazrat Maulana Abdul Qawi Sahib, Damāt Barakātuhum, Nazim (Administrator) of Idara Ashraf-ul-Uloom, Hyderabad.

On 11 Shawwal 1433 AH, corresponding to 29 August 2012, Hazrat Maulana, in the presence of the scholars and Huffaz of the area, commenced the educational activities by giving the first lesson of Noorani Qaida to 18 children from the surrounding areas.

It appears that Allah Almighty had blessed the life of Mr. Mustafa Sahib specifically for this work. Consequently, on the very second day after the commencement of the madrasa, while travelling from Nizamabad to Hyderabad on his way back to Mumbai, he passed away during the journey. May Allah Almighty forgive him and make this work a Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) for him. Ameen.
